Valentina Bouza is an Uruguayan artist currently based in Ibiza, Spain.
She studied at the School of Fine Arts in Uruguay and Communication Sciences at the Catholic University of Uruguay.
Her primary form of expression is analog collage with mixed techniques like a manifestation of her search of expanding consciousness through art. Her artistic process is manual, "old school," an intuitive and sensory cut-and-paste inspired by the nature of the island where she lives.
Valentina is a founding member of the Ibicencan Collage Society, a collective of artists from Ibiza dedicated to promoting and spreading collage art.
"I primarily work in analog collage on paper, using mixed techniques such as acrylic, watercolor, and drawing."
The main inspiration in my work is the nature around me. The colors I usually work with are vibrant and bright, expressing the vision I have of the world around me.My creative processes tend to be very intuitive, setting aside reason or pre-established orders, as collage has the quality of working from the unconscious and manifesting therapeutic processes. In my case, I use this technique mainly for the richness of experiences it provides me to continue my personal development through art.
