Aguascopio is an all-female art collective based in Ibiza, formed in 2021. The collective merges artistic swimming, costume design, and drone photography to explore profound existential questions through visual art. Their work is a captivating blend of precision and spontaneity, showcasing a unique connection with nature against the stunning backdrop of the Balearic Islands.
Aguascopio invites viewers to ponder the scale of human existence, mirroring the intricate ecosystems revealed by a drop of water under a microscope—provoking thought on our purpose within the vast universe. Their creations include video art and fine art photography, available on their website and Instagram.
The collective is composed of three members: Annabelle Widmann,Liz Kueneke, and Tasya Menaker.
Annabelle, a native of Ibiza, is a renowned costume designer and performer. Her designs have been featured in global festivals and exhibitions, earning her accolades, including a costume design award from Cirque du Soleil.
Liz, originally from the United States and an Ibiza resident since 2009, holds an MFA from Claremont Graduate University. As a multidisciplinary artist and curator, her works have been displayed in museums and galleries worldwide and included in numerous publications and academic papers.
Tasya, born in Siberia and raised in the U.S., moved to Ibiza in 2013. A skilled event and portrait photographer, she serves as Aguascopio’s drone operator and editor. Her photography has been published in prominent magazines like Rolling Stone and Forbes, and her exhibitions have spanned major cities such as Chicago, New York City, and Barcelona.
