SAGHAR RAD
Saghar Rad was born and raised in Iran, where she graduated from Art School. Under a cloudy veil that shields her from the glance of others as she runs through the teeming streets of Teheran ,in a way reflecting the stark contrast between our inner and outer lives. . , her colorful imagination began to come to life, Each and every place , an open door , new rooms and encounters are transformed into a hyme of color , a chromatic kaleidoscope (celebration) While studying fine art in Teheran Saghar began experimenting with colors. Vivid colors, recollections from her past imprinted in her mind that she gave life to with the strokes of her brush on the canvas.
“I draw inspiration from travel, the cultures I encounter, the flavors I discover, the fragrances I breathe in, and the colors I mingle with. I suspend them in myriad lilies incandescent and shimmering lights on the canvas, creating a garden open to anyone wishing to lose themselves for a second, a moment, a lifetime."
Driven by a desire to broaden her color palette Saghar leaves her home town for Paris where she lives and works today. She studies fashion at Esmod and and began a career as designer at at prestigious houses; Chloé, Givenchy, Emmanuel Ungaro, Jean-Louis Scherrer, ....
The link between painting and fashion is always a blank canvas !
" Fabric led me back to canvas – the blank slate that drew me in through its feel and whiteness that I used to work and rework with color and I achieved a sense of satisfaction. I work the colors like a paleie under my arm, my fingers brushing across the canvas in circular movements for hours. I create a shower of incandescent bubbles deluding into each other, superimposing. "
In the ART OF COLOR collection, Saghar reveals endless color combinations in multiple small dots created by her fingers. The overall effect is overwhelming: dme stands sdll as the chromatic circles mesmerize, energies, soothe or calm, leading you to a magical wonderland of color and light. The experience is unique to every person, but one thing remains constant: that of savoring a moment of joy and well being in your own secret garden.
